Sheriff’s host blood drive at Summit Boulevard station
Chance to give the gift of life in Big Bear
The Big Bear Sheriff’s Department will host a blood drive and bone marrow screening from 2 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, at 477 Summit Blvd., Big Bear Lake. Individuals who are at least 15 years of age may donate blood. All prospective donors must be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.
Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids prior to the donation process and to bring along photo identification. Those between the ages of 15 – 16 must provide written parental consent. Parental consent forms are available at any donor center, community blood drive, or on line at https://www.lstream.org/.
