Cool Run in the Mountains benefits DOVES, the Zoo and local animal rescue groups
Big Bear Lake Convention Center new home to Cool Run in the Mountains
Classic cars and worthy local causes are just two good reasons to attend the Eighth Annual Cool Run in the Mountains – Cruisin’ to Stop Bruisin’, presented by Rodriders Car Club of Big Bear, and hosted at The Big Bear Convention Center on Saturday, September 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Classic car owners and enthusiasts should plan now to exhibit and attend to see these beautiful classic cars and meet the owners.
This popular free event is open to the public and family friendly. Visitors will enjoy seeing the display of models of classic and vintage cars, including antiques and special interest vehicles. Owners will be on hand to answer questions and point out special features of their cars. Food will be available for sale by Sonora Cantina. DJ music will be provided all day.
All cars are welcome to participate in this benefit car show, regardless of year, make or model. You do not need to be Rodrider member to enter your prize cars. There will be awards for the top 20 selections, sponsor raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and local animal rescue information.
The car entry fee is $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event. Entry checks should be made payable to Rodriders and mailed to Brad Shelkey or Rodriders, P.O. Box 3, Big Bear City, CA 92314.
The event benefits local nonprofits including DOVES of Big Bear Valley, a center for domestic violence education and services, the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, and BARC /Bear Mountain Dog Rescue. Donations are always appreciated.
“Rodriders not only enjoy the comradery of other car enthusiasts, but we love nothing more than giving back to these local organizations who do so much for the Big Bear Valley,” said organizer Brad Shelkey.
The event will be at The Big Bear Lake Convention Center at 42900 Big Bear Boulevard, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. For more event information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 562-505-5755.
