Adelante Arts Collective and Big Bear Theater, Inc combine to host Big Bear Shakespeare workshop
Veteran Stage Actor Michael Matthys will be teaching a two-day Big Bear Shakespeare weekend acting intensive Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16 in Big Bear, California, at the beautiful Knickerbocker Mansion.
Originally from upstate NY, Michael has worked as an actor in Buffalo, Minneapolis, Detroit, New York City, and Los Angeles. He started his professional career as a member of the esteemed Guthrie Theater acting company in Garland Wright’s acclaimed production of “The Seagull” which has been archived at Lincoln Center.
Shortly after his stint there he moved to Hollywood where he continues to appear on the stages of Los Angeles while he pursues film/TV work. He also teaches acting at various studios in the area.

Additionally, Emmy-nominated actress Michele Greene is bringing professional theater training to Big Bear.
Greene is currently the artistic director of Lake Arrowhead’s Adelante Arts, the premier performing and language arts program of Lake Arrowhead. Working in conjunction Big Bear Theater, Inc, a Big Bear-based media corporation, Greene is now offering on-going classes and workshops in acting; theater production and design; creative writing; show choir; short film boot camp; screenplay development and more in Big Bear.
