Participate in Big Bear Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning to make room for the feast later that afternoon

Wake up Thanksgiving morning, eat, watch football and sit in your easy chair; or wake up Thanksgiving morning and feel better about porking out during your Thanksgiving feast by walking or running 3, 6 or 9 miles participating in the 5th Annual Big Bear Turkey Trot. Sponsored by the city of Big Bear Lake, the Big Bear Turkey Trot is a great family event with a fun and festive venue and three race distance options all on the same course making it easy for everybody to participate.

It’s another chance to wear a costume as you can make your morning even more fun and exciting by running dressed in your best turkey, bear, pilgrim or other theme costume. I mean, we all have a turkey costume hidden somewhere in our closet, don’t we?

There are great prized for the best participant costumes and the fastest runners. Participants in the 3 mile runners will be treated to a yoga warm up routine from Colin Schour Yogo before the start of their race.

The event is a fundraiser to support Open Air Big Bear and the 2018 Kids Trail Run Series and with a portion of race entry fees  to be donated to the Big Bear Community Church Food Pantry.

The 9 mile race starts at 9 a.m.; the 6 mile starts at 9:15 a.m., and the 3 mile jaunt begins at 9:30 a.m.

The first 350 Registered Participants are guaranteed an event shirt and event ornament.
